I'm good

Plănuiesc un weekend de lucru manual, în care să bricolez decorațiuni și ornamente. Activități pre-Crăciun care merg bine cu dovleac și castane la cuptor.

Am fost la München la Kings of Leon și am văzut de curând concertul The Killers din 2009 la Royal Albert Hall. Mult mai buni The Killers, nici nu se compară. Solistul de la KoL e cam autist.. :)

Mi s-a facut de câteva săptămâni liniște în minte. După ce am fost o perioadă busy busy, alergat încontinuu, dormit puțin făcut o mulțime de lucruri, liniștea asta era iminentă. Și aș adăuga binevenită. Săptămâna trecută m-a sunat tata într-o seara și când m-a întrebat ce fac, i-am răspuns că gătesc. :)

Mă bucur că perioada care urmeaza o să fie frumoasă și caldă (la figurat, desigur) și plină de lucruri faine.

Notabil, ar mai fi de mentionat ca am fost la vonda shepard la concert saptamana trecuta, and totally loved her! Human as she was, warm and open, a chicotit si s-a hlizit si parea ca she's really enjoying her music. Which made us really enjoy it to.

A fost cool ca eram printre foaarte putinii oameni care stiau versuri. hah

a week in 2mai-Vama Veche can do wonders for the body, mind and soul.
I don't really feel like putting it into words, anyone who's ever done it must know exactly what I mean.

ce m-a uimit au fost hostessele pe tocuri și în rochii elegante și nude. în vamă. și în 2mai, la micul golf. oare cine a gândit asta, mintea cui a ajuns în primăvara asta (sau când s-o fi pregătit campania) la concluzia că trebuie să promoveze țigări la 2 mai pe plajă? mă rog, și chiar și-așa, why not do it right? cum ar fi fost să se asorteze puțin cu mediul, să le pese puțin de target și să le-ncalțe pe fete în converși? sweeet :)

și m-a mai uimit faptul că erau vânzători ambulanți pe plaja în vamă. ca în venus, așa..

în rest, I loved the food, am descoperit vafele Joe cu ciocolată, bune, bune de tot, am citit În căutarea oii fantastice, de Murakami (soo nice), și Comedii la Porțile Orientului, de Pleșu, am fost la concert Byron care a fost fantastic (Byron.. și concertul.. :) ) și am văzut un răsărit.

duminică e concert Killers la Sziget..

later edit: veni vidi vici. all in all it was nice. a plouat și s-a oprit ploaia când s-a terminat concertul. ironic like that. deși metallica nu e neapărat my kind of music, mi-a plăcut să-i văd în concert. mi-a plăcut mult de tot crowd-ul de-acolo, mulți oameni pasionați și ok (no cocalari, yeey) care se bucurau foarte tare de muzică (ignorant as I am when it comes to metallica, for me it was mostly noisy); eram mândră de ei că știu multe versuri. :) am rămas cu senzația că metallica este de fapt o comunitate. iar the band au fost foarte foarte umani și calzi.

îmi doresc mult de tot să merg la un concert keane. I might react like the guy who cried of happiness at the muse concert (haven't seen him myself, but have heard stories)

werchter

i wish i were in werchter. according to wiki, the 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007 editions received the arthur award for best festival in the world at international live music conference (ILMC). but i wanted to be there even before i found this out, just now. even though today i wouldn't have known weather to choose kings of leon or kate nash. i mean sure, kings of leon, but then again, kate nash..! rockwerchter.be, just go see the line up. man, i wish i were in werchter.. next year, maybe, 'd be kinda cool.. and anyway, tonight i'll see manic street preachers and kaiser chiefs here in bucharest. they're pretty cool. but kaiser chef's 'll be performing in werchter tomorrow. along with the kooks and panic at the disco and beck.. it's kind of raining in werchter, at least here it's sunny and windy... 

(it's pretty clever that when i copy/pasted some text from wiki, the links copy/pasted themselves, must be one of blogger's new tricks :) )
