26
It was my birthday last Friday, on the 30th. Sana was here, she had bought her ticket just a few weeks before and she was the best present I could've ever wished for. We talked without stopping for four days and managed to catch up on the most important stuff.
It's been the first birthday when I didn't really care what happens, who calls, how much attention I get or not, how the weather is etc. Sana was here and that made it all perfect and enough. And the celebration lasted 4 days, anyway.
And something happened. Between the lace underwear that she brought me as a gift, the ring that I got from the owner of a bar we were drinking ginjinha in and the life and cheerfulness that this woman has in her, something changed. I got became somehow courageous to reach out for things that I want, maybe without knowing how everything would turn out but brave enough to go for it and figure it out afterwords. To say yes or no, to draw things towards me and take decisions, all in all to keep things moving. I understood that it's important to move, to do, to exchange energy, to go out of your comfort zone.
Except this inner feeling of new year's eve and appetite for resolutions, I got speakers for my laptop, some money from my parents (that I have already put to good use, will share when the time comes), a nice blue scarf (that Nene chose for me), three home baked breads (one with onions, one with walnuts and cashews and one with olives) and a box of raw cashews from Superman, and a magic basket from my magic elf.
I'm really excited about what is to come. :)
P.S. I'm gonna try to keep a one picture/day update on my photo blog, and I've just updated the first photo of the project. Go check it out and tell me what you think! :)
